A little Background information

This year is my fourth and final year at the University of Guelph-Humber. I am graduating in April 2017 with a Bachelor's of Applied Science in Early Childhood Studies from the University of Guelph and an Early Childhood Educators Diploma from Humber College.
This semester I am applying to some teacher's colleges so that I can become an Ontario Certified Teacher and teach in the school board at the primary/junior level.
I have had experience in a Preschool room at Eden Day Care. It was my first full placement at the University of Guelph-Humber. ECE work is also something I am looking towards experiencing in the work field.
During my first semester in third year, I was also placed in a Toddler room at a PLASP Early Child Care Centre. This was one of my most positive learning experiences! The program and organization itself is admirable in all areas and I was able to work with a HighScope outlook on the children. It was a different theory perspective and I really enjoyed the learning experience.
Kindergarten has always been an interest of mine. I have been in a Full Day Kindergarten class with 30 students with a teacher and ECE in grade 11 co-op. This semester I have the other end of the experience and I am in another FDK class, but with 15 students, a teacher, ERWs and another student that is placed from teacher's college! The learning experience has been so beneficial so far. I am really looking forward to the rest of the year!

As one of my jobs while I am in school, I am working in a JUMP room at a GoodLife Fitness gym. I have been there for 6 years, and my role is to plan activities and supervise children as moms go and work out! We supervise snack, sleeping, feeding, and diaper changing as well. It is a great way to practice supervising skills.
