"It takes a big heart to help shape little minds"-unknown

Purpose: Decorating a Nature/leaf collecting bag
-
The children showed a keen interest in the falling leaves outside, the weather changing and what happened outside during fall.
-
I saw the children outside during their play time out there, picking up different leaves and twigs and bringing them inside into the discovery area!
-
After I saw this happening I also asked one of the children that were particularly interested in the activity and asked him if he would like to go on a nature walk as a class to collect different leaves outside the playground
-
From there I thought it would be a fun idea to have the children decorate their own bags to take with them outside so they have a place to collect all of their leaves and objects from outside
-
This way the children are interested and engaged in their work and I found a way to plan an activity by interacting with them and focusing on what they are interested in while also teaching them about the changing environment around them
